Video: Lowndes Ag Center Plans Moving Along

LOWNDES COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – Plans are moving along for the Lowndes County Ag Center.

Wednesday, the board of supervisors gave approval to begin environmental studies on the land where the facility will be located, which is near Tom Rose Road.

Once complete, an engineering firm was hired to start construction on a road to the site.

Plans call for a covered pavilion for livestock shows, along with office and meeting space.

It will also be home to the MSU Extension Service for Lowndes County and Four H organization.

County leaders hope the environmental work will be done by the end of fall.
