Video: Lowndes Co. Deputies Investigating Car Wreck Involving Teen

LOWNDES COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) — A 16-year-old boy is lucky to be alive after a serious wreck in Lowndes County, Tuesday.

It happened around 5:30 p.m.

Deputies tell WCBI the teen was heading south on Cal Steens Road, just north of Malone Road, when he lost control of his Ford Mustang, and went off on the right, hitting a tree.

Amazingly, WCBI was told the teen was able to crawl out the back window.

He was taken to the hospital to get checked out, but is doing OK.
