Video: Lowndes County Crash Injures One

LOWNDES COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – One person is injured a scary crash in Lowndes County on Friday morning.

A driver involved in the accident tells WCBI he was going north on Highway 45 Alternate when another vehicle ran a stop sign in front of him.

A woman was taken to the hospital, with what were believed to be non life-threatening injuries.

The crash happened on 45 Alternate, near the Highway 82 off ramp, just before noon.

Traffic was backed up while crews worked to clear the scene.

State troopers are investigating the crash.
