Lowndes County Strip Club Robbed

LOWNDES COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – A Lowndes County strip club is held up by two men.

Deputies say an employee of The Pony was taking out the garbage about 2 AM on Thursday when he was approached by two men armed with a gun.

The robbers were wearing masks. They were mostly dressed in black. One wore a black mask and the other had a tan Carhartr ski mask.

They took the employee inside the business and took cash.

The Pony was closed at the time of the robbery. Employees were cleaning up when the robbery occurred.

Investigators are still trying to determine how much money was taken.

The building does have surveillance video.

Lowndes County Sheriff’s Department Investigator Capt. Ryan Rickert says it appears the robbery was a very well organized crime.

No one was injured.

This is the first time the strip club has been robbed at gunpoint.
