Lowndes Home Damaged By Fallen Tree

LOWNDES COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – A Lowndes County home is damaged after high winds brought down a tree on its roof.

The homeowner told WCBI about the fallen tree.

It happened as a tornado warning was issued for northern Lowndes County early Wednesday morning.

The home is on Highway 45, near the Columbus Air Force Base.

No injuries were reported.

Lowndes County EMA Director Cindy Lawrence says there were scattered reports of trees down around the county but there were no major impacts.
