Macon Shooting Victim Remains Critical

MACON, Miss. (WCBI) – The Macon man shot during an armed robbery remains in critical condition at a Jackson hospital, according to a University of Mississippi Medical Center spokesperson.

Kris Haywood, 28, was shot multiple times Monday night at the Local Express, where he was working.

Police are still trying to find the gunman.

The Mississippi Bureau of Investigation is assisting with the case.

Officers are looking for a male suspect, with a slim build, and is about six feet tall.

A prayer vigil will be held for Haywood Wednesday night at Concord Baptist Church in Macon, beginning at 7.
