Makeover Set For Columbus Business Landmark

PRESS RELEASE

The old Trustmark building at the intersection of Highway 45 North and Bluecutt Road in Columbus has been purchased by Dutch Health Services, a local company that is in the process of remodeling the bottom floor of the three-story building to include 1) a medical clinic with both family practice and pediatric specialties and 2) an independent pharmacy that provides walk-in, drive-thru and local delivery service.

The company, which also operates five other independent pharmacies in Columbus and the Allegro Family Clinic in New Hope, plans to rename the building “Allegro Plaza.”
Dutch Health Services owner Joe Gillis said the company is excited about being able to provide convenient, affordable health care options to patients in North Columbus and the surrounding areas. “In the past year, Allegro Family Clinic in New Hope has more than doubled its patient volume. Expanding this successful model to North Columbus with the addition of a pediatric specialty practice and full-service pharmacy positions us to help meet the health care needs of the broader Columbus and Lowndes County communities.”
The second and third floors of the building will remain mixed-use, with most of the existing tenants remaining in place.
