AMORY, Miss. (WCBI) – A West Point man is accused of being drunk and carrying drugs inside a government building.

Deairis Eacholes, 26, is charged misdemeanor disorderly conduct, public drunkenness, and possession of marijuana.

He’s also charged with felony possession of cocaine.

Amory officers were called to the Monroe County Government Complex this past Saturday about a man inside the building that was being disorderly.

Police say Eacholes had been drinking.

He remains in jail, pending a court appearance.
