Man Accused of Killing Uncle

PONTOTOC CO., Miss. (WCBI) — A nephew stands accused of killing his uncle following Sundays fatal pedestrian accident in Pontotoc County. Sheriff Leo Mask says Randy Coker of Pontotoc is accused of intentionally running over his uncle, John Pettit, on Moorman Road.

Mask says Coker and another man were fighting and knives were pulled. That’s when Pettit tried to step in and break up the incident. Coker  then got in his car and deliberately ran over his uncle. Coker faces a second degree murder charge and an aggravated assault charge. Bond is set at $350,000.
