LOWNDES COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) — A man out of jail only a few hours is back in today.

Lowndes County sheriff’s detectives say 41-year-old Orlando Guyton is charged with burglary after breaking into a occupied residence at 156 Applewood Drive at about 10:15 Thursday night.

Two people were at the residence and a third returned home and found Guyton inside. He fled and the woman gave chase to the nearby Providence Place development.

Deputies quickly arrived and found Guyton, who had cut his arm, lying on the ground near a home.

He was treated at Baptist Golden Triangle Hospital and returned to jail Friday morning.

Guyton had bonded out of jail Thursday afternoon on a previous cocaine possession charge.

He has an extensive arrest record.
