Video: Man Identified In Columbus Officer Involved Shooting

Columbus, Miss. (WCBI) — The man who was shot and killed during an officer involved shooting has been identified.

Lowndes County Coroner Greg Merchant identified him as 33 year old Ricky Javenta Ball, a Columbus residence.

Ball was taken to Baptist Memorial Hospital in Columbus and died shortly after his arrival.

The shooting happened at 15th Avenue N and 21st Street and is currently being investigated by M.B.I. since an officer was involved.
