Man Sentenced to 1 Year for Counterfeiting

OXFORD, Miss. (AP) — A Plantersville man has been sentenced to a year in federal prison helping pass counterfeit money.

Robert Blake Kohlheim pleaded guilty in June in federal court. A local newspaper reports the 27-year-old Kohlheim was sentenced this week in federal court in Oxford.

Kohlheim also was sentenced to three years’ probation and $325 in restitution. Kohlheim is to report to prison Jan. 5.

Kohlheim was one of three arrested last December for passing fake currency at a Dollar General Store in Tupelo. Darla Lynette Frison was an employee of the business and she pleaded guilty to conspiracy to pass counterfeit money in June.

In September, Kevin Tenyarn Clark pleaded guilty to conspiracy to pass counterfeit money.

They are awaiting sentencing.
