Man Shot in Apparent Home Invasion

NEW ALBANY, Miss. (WCBI) — New Albany police are investigating an apparent home invasion, where the suspect was shot by the homeowner.

Police got a call from a man living on Butler Avenue around 4 a.m., Saturday.

Chief Chris Robertson says the homeowner told them someone was trying to break in.

Robertson says the homeowner told the suspect several times to leave, and that officers were on the way.

Robertson tells WCBI that person – Leondrick Satterwhite – then kicked in the door, and the homeowner shot him twice, killing Satterwhite.
