Memorial Services Set for Oktibbeha Fire Victim

STARKVILLE, Miss. – (WCBI) Final arrangements have been set for Geraldine Bradford Rice.

The service is set for January, 19th at 16th Section Church in Starkville. It will begin at 11 a.m. The family has also set up at memorial fund at CB&S Bank, located on Hwy 12 in Starkville.

Rice lost her life in the the house fire last week that  also claimed the lives of 92-year old Celia Robson and 23-year old  Samuel Razi Morris.

She is being remembered for her unselfish and unsuccessful attempt to rescue an elderly Celia Robson from her burning home. Rice and Robson’s grandson helped George Robson, who suffers from dementia, escape the blaze.

Rice, a volunteer firefighter with District 5, was 44-years old.
