Video: Update: Missing Pontotoc Co. Man Found

PONTOTOC COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – The man search crews looked for in Pontotoc County is resting at a Tupelo hospital.

Gerald Davis was found just before noon on Wednesday.

Pontotoc County Sheriff’s Office Chief Deputy Randy Roberts says Davis fell down a 60 foot hill.

Searchers found the 60 year-old near a creek and then he was airlifted to North Mississippi Medical Center.

The creek is nearly a mile from where Davis parked his truck and went into the woods on Sunday evening.

The sheriff’s department says it appreciates the help from firefighters, state, troopers, game wardens and other rescuers from across north Mississippi in the search for Davis.

Davis is in fair condition at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo.
