Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics Speaks to the Columbus Rotary Club

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) – John Dixon of the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics was the keynote speaker at the Rotary Club meeting in Columbus Tuesday afternoon. Dixon discussed some of the latest issues the bureau faces as they fight the war on drugs.

Just in the last year, 55 pharmacists in North Mississippi have been burglarized. Dixon says the use of pharmaceuticals and meth have been on the rise in recent years and are the most prevalent drugs used in the Golden Triangle. The northern division that Dixon works from covers 10 North Mississippi counties.
