Mississippi Troopers Working Several Ice-Related Wrecks

BENTON COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) — Ice could be to blame for a tractor trailer wreck in Benton County early Monday morning.

The driver was traveling eastbound on U.S. 78 shortly after 1 a.m., when he crashed into a bridge before overturning.

State troopers tell WCBI Highway 78 eastbound is closed about four miles from Potts Camp, and traffic has been rerouted to Highway 178.

The truck driver only had minor injuries.

Troopers are still investigating what caused the crash.

MHP has worked several minor ice-related wrecks Monday morning.
