MONROE COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) — They called to report a home invasion and ended up facing drug charges.

Monroe County Deputies responded to a couple’s home who reported that a man had forced his way into their home with a hatchet and stole money.

Once inside the house, deputies found not only evidence of a break -in, but mathamphetamine and the ingredients to make it.

They’re Charged with possession of methamphetamine, and two or more precursers with intent to manufacture.

Sheriff Cecil Cantrell says the two know the man they say broke into their house.

“This is repercussions of being in the drug business, the people that actually, we think, committed this crime of the home invasion, and stole the lady’s money, are actually freinds of hers,” says Monroe County Sheriff, Cecil Cantrell.

Cantrell says investigators are now looking for B.J. Williams as the suspect in the break-in.
