Monroe Supervisors, Elected Officials Get Pay Raise

MONROE COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – Monroe County supervisors approve a raise for some elected officials, including themselves.

Now that the county’s total assessed value is more than $300 million, state law allows for some elected officials to get a raise.

Supervisors, justice court judges, the county prosecuting attorney, and the board of supervisors attorney will now make $44, 700.

They were making just a little over $40, 400.

Salaries of elected officials vary based on the total assessed value of that particular county.
