Mother to Host Tupelo Auction for Missing Son

TUPELO, Miss. (WCBI) — A North Mississippi mother is hosting an auction this weekend to help find her son who disappeared nearly five years ago.

Mildred Jones wants to use the money raised to pay private investigators to keep searching for her son – Lester Ray Jones, Jr.

He hasn’t been seen since January 2010.

Area businesses have donated merchandise and prizes for the event, which will be this Saturday, December 20 from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the Wynd Events Center in Tupelo.

Items up for auction include Mississippi State University memorabilia, and restaurant gift certificates.

There will also be a benefit concert on January 10 at 7 p.m. at the Summit Center.
