Multiple Felony Arrests Made In Tishomingo County

TISHOMINGO CO., Miss. (PRESS RELEASE) – The Tishomingo County Sheriff’s Department has stayed very busy in the last week, arresting criminals and trying to keep the county safe.

On May 19, 2016, Tishomingo Sheriff K9 conducted a traffic stop onDANNY LANE WILSON Jefferson Street in Burnsville, Mississippi.

During the course of the traffic stop, the deputy asked the driver, 29-year-old Danny Lane Wilson of Burnsville,  for consent to search, to which he gave his consent.

The deputy used his narcotics dog to assist in the search of the vehicle and the dog alerted to the presence of narcotics within the vehicle.

A search of Wilson yielded several pills of alleged Oxycodone, which was in a clear plastic bag under the driver’s seat.

Wilson was then transported to the Tishomingo County Jail and is charged with possession of a controlled substance.

A property bond was given by the judge.
On May 22, 2016, Burnsville Police arrested 19-year-old TimothyTIMOTHY RAY WALDREP Ray Waldrep of 1359 North Pearl Street Iuka, Mississippi, due to a traffic stop that later turned into a felony drug arrest.

During the course of the arrest, it was discovered that Waldrep may had been involved in another felony crime that occurred in Tishomingo County.

Later that evening, Tishomingo Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a complainant on CR 476 of the Burnsville, Mississippi area where the complainant stated that someone had burglarized their vehicle and taken large sums of cash from the vehicle.

Waldrep was then transported to the Tishomingo County Jail where Burnsville Police charged him with possession of a controlled substance, and by Tishomingo Sheriff’s Department for Burglary of Automobile.

Bond was set at $5,000.00 for each charge.
On May 25, 2016, the Tishomingo Sheriff’s Department, with help HAROLD BARNESfrom the United States Marshals service, executed an Alias Capias arrest warrant for 47-year-old Harold Barnes of Iuka.

Barnes failed to come to the Tishomingo Circuit Court on May 6, 2016 to answer to the felony charge of sale of hydrocodone.

Sheriff John Daugherty asked for the assistance of the U.S. Marshals due to the violent nature of Barnes.

Barnes was successfully brought back into custody after more than two weeks.

He is being held without bond.

 

On May 25, 2016, the Tishomingo Sheriff’s Department, again withJONATHAN LARRY PRICE help from the United States Marshals service, executed an arrest warrant for failure to register as a sex offender for 35-year-old Jonathan Larry Price.

Price had left Mississippi and Tishomingo County for not reporting his address as mandated by state statute.

Price last reported to law enforcement on February 4, 2016 with an address of 305 Adams Street in Iuka, Mississippi.

The U.S. Marshals were able to locate Price at a residence in Crump, Tennessee and was successfully brought back to the Tishomingo Sheriff’s Department.

He was issued a professional bond in the amount of $10,000.00.

Price is currently still in jail due to a Mississippi Department of Corrections hold being placed against him.
