STARKVILLE, Miss. (WCBI) — Murder charges against a man allegedly involved in a Starkville shooting have been dropped.

Starkville Police Chief Frank Nichols dropped the murder charge against 28-year-old Neal Anthony Anderson during his first court appearance Monday afternoon, saying there wasn’t enough evidence to support the charge.

This, after a juvenile was killed in a shooting last Friday night on North Montgomery Street.

Investigators say they have persons of interest, and plan to make arrests on armed robbery charges.

Anyone with information should call Starkville police or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-530-7151.
