Video: Murder Trial Continues In Lowndes County

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) – The state has rested in a Lowndes County murder trial.

Prosecutors called a Lowndes County detective to the stand on Wednesday to discuss the video statement Chaddy Brooks, 30, gave investigators.

Brooks is accused of stabbing Daniel Gore to death at his Cypress Park apartment back in November 2013.

Deputies say it was a domestic dispute that turned violent.

Brooks is claiming self defense.

The trial could go to the jury Thursday.
