COLUMBUS, Miss. — A new partnership announced today [March 27] in Jackson will allow those completing an associate’s degree in culinary arts at Hinds Community College to finish their four-year degree on the Jackson campus with Mississippi University for Women.

The enhanced 2 Plus 2 program in culinary arts will provide a seamless transition to the baccalaureate degree and will serve students in the Jackson metro area, providing on-site instruction from MUW instructors, according to the presidents of the two institutions.

“Hinds Community College is a longtime partner with The W, and we look forward to this enhanced 2 Plus 2 program that will bring expanded culinary instruction to the Hinds campus and the Jackson metropolitan area,” said Dr. Jim Borsig, president of Mississippi University for Women. “Our faculty will be on-site, creating a seamless transition between the associate’s and bachelor’s degree programs.”
