BOONEVILLE, Miss. – (WCBI) Northeast Mississippi Community college has a new home for their student services center.

Dignitaries, community members and students celebrated the ribbon cutting of the college’s new 3,700 square foot facility.

Ramsey Hall includes offices for admissions, records, and financial aid.

The administrative offices are on the second floor of the building, making it a one stop shop for students.

” It’s very convenient, actually because you know if its raining or something outside you don’t have to go from building to building to building, you can just go to one building and go from room to room,” says student Gracie Robertson.

” Within the confine of this building, there is a unified front of staff and administrators that stand ready to serve anybody that needs anything on this campus and that really takes a load off the college experience,” adds SGA President Lucas Ferguson.

The $8 million was funded through state capital improvement bonds.

The building carries the name T. Jack Ramsey, for the Iuka native who joined the Northeast Board of Trustees in 1983.

He has held each of the three Board officer positions and has served as chairman since 2007.
