NETTLETON, Miss. – (WCBI) Rainy conditions did not put a damper on the holiday spirit in Nettleton Monday night.

Floats covered in crepe paper, choirs and community groups marched the streets to officially kick off the holiday season.

The parade began at Nettleton High School and before it wrapped in front of Tiffany’s Dance Studio, Santa Claus threw candy to the crowd.

Starkville’s Christmas parade was scheduled to be held Monday evening as well, but was postponed until Tuesday night at 6 P.M.

Our Aundrea Self and Bill Gamel will be sporting a convertible.
