Nettleton Sonic Robbed; Suspect Sought

NETTLETON, Miss. (WCBI) – An armed robber stole an estimated $900 late Thursday night from the Nettleton Sonic.

The suspect is still on the loose. Nettleton Police say the suspect was carrying a small caliber gun, thought to be a .22 caliber pistol.

The suspect apparently knelt down outside the Sonic door. When employees came out at closing, the robber grabbed the money bag.

According to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Department, the suspect is described as an armed black male, wearing all black clothing and a black scarf to conceal his face.

He took off on foot toward the wooded area of Highway 45.
