Nettleton Student Killed In Crash

LEE COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – Lee County deputies are investigating a crash that killed a Nettleton High School student this past weekend.

Sheriff Jim Johnson says the accident happened early Sunday morning.

Corey Matthew Wilemon, 17, was ejected after the vehicle he was riding in left the road and hit a tree.

Five people were in the vehicle at the time.

Johnson does not believe alcohol played a role in the crash.

Wilemon was a member of the Nettleton High School band.
