New Albany Plant Gets New Owners
NEW ALBANY, Miss. (WCBI) — One of New Albany’s largest employers is getting a new owner. Thunderbird LLC of Elk Grove Illinois is buying the Worthington Industries plant. The facility ,which sold for an estimated $9 million, will be renamed Metal Impact South.
Board Chairman Kevin Prunsky says the ownership change of the firm, which makes high impact metal products for the automotive and defense industries, should be seamless and have no impact on local workers or customer base.
