New Dealership Clears Hurdle in Expansion Plan

STARKVILLE, Miss. (WCBI)- A new car dealership complex clears one hurdle in Starkville.

Aldermen set a June 16th public hearing because the development company is asking Oktibbeha county and Starkville elected officials to approve tax increment financing bonds.

The development is planned along Highway 12, near Pat Station Road.

In the first Phase, Mitchell Automotive of West Point, will oversee Chevrolet, Chrysler, Dodge Ram, and Jeep dealerships.

A restaurant, single family homes, office space, and a convenience store are also on the drawing board.

The bond money would be used to help pay for improvements to the infrastructure.
