LOWNDES COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – Students at New Hope High School are taking a stand against bullying.

The school held a special assembly Wednesday in observance of “Unity Day.” It’s one day set aside during Bullying Prevention Month to raise awareness about the problem and talk about ways students can help stop it on their school campuses.

Students heard from speakers and wore orange to demonstrate unity against bullying.

This the first time New Hope High School has participated in Unity Day.
