New Hope Team Takes Top Scholar Honors at EMCC

MAYHEW, Miss. (WCBI) — A team from New Hope took top honors at East Mississippi Community College’s Scholars Olympiad. Over one hundred students from schools across the Golden Triangle went head to head in a variety of academic and career-technical subjects. With individual scholarships worth up to two thousand dollars on the line, the competition was intense, but the experience was important too.

New Hope High School won overall team honors. Caledonia High and Columbus High took second and third place
