Update: Columbus Police Name Person of Interest In Reported Motel Robbery

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) – Columbus Police are now looking for Amber Paige Ballard of Columbus in connection with a reported robbery at Motel 6 in

Ballard’s last known address is 703 Waterworks Road in Columbus. She is a 24 year old white female.

Investigators now say four people in a room got into an argument on Tuesday morning.

Two women fought, then $280 was taken.

Interim Police Chief Fred Shelton says the people in the motel room knew each other.

Shelton says the incident started about 9 AM on Tuesday but was reported until almost noon.

An arrest is expected to be made in the investigation.

We’re told some furniture in the room was damaged.
