Video: New Lowndes County E911 Director Named

LOWNDES COUNTY, Miss. – (WCBI) The Lowndes County E911 Board names its newest leader. Sheri Fancher has been serving as the director in the interim since September.

Shalonda Givens was chosen from six candidates, and will replace Melanie McCoy who stepped down from the post, after nine months on the job.

Givens has been a dispatcher since 2006, and been a supervisor since 2010. Fancher will stay until the transition is complete.
