(STARKVILLE, MS) WCBI – The consolidation of the Starkville and Oktibbeha County school districts is fast approaching with lots of questions still unanswered.  One issue was settled today-  at least temporarily.
The county owns the building which housed the Oktibbeha County Board of Education but with the district going away the need for office space disappeared.  After much debate during today’s Oktibbeha County Supervisors meeting, Supervisors voted three to two to allow the Starkville School district to move into one floor of the building and let the 9-1-1 operations relocate to the other floor.  Supervisors say this move will give both groups much needed space while allowing the board to decide if more buildings to house county functions will be needed.
