No Foul Play Found in Starkville Hotel Death
STARKVILLE, Miss. (Press Release) — On Thursday, June 4, 2015 at approximately 2 p.m., officers with the Starkville Police Department responded to a call at the Regal Inn, Hwy. 182 in Starkville regarding an unresponsive person in one of the rooms.
When officers arrived, they found who Coroner Michael Hunt identified as 48-year-old Elizabeth Norris, of Nashville, deceased in the room. There was a thorough investigation conducted by the Starkville Police Dept. and Oktibbeha County Coroner’s Office and there appeared to be no signs of foul play.
Authorities are ruling the death as self-inflicted. The woman did leave a note. She has relatives in Columbus.
