LEE COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) — The North Lee County Water Association board of directors unanimously passed a vote Thursday night to open their meetings to the public.

This decision comes after a customer of the water association was recently thrown out of a meeting.

The association is trying to comply with a year-old law passed by state legislature and signed by Governor Phil Bryant.

Tupelo City Attorney Ben Logan also updated the association on the city’s proposal to provide surface water to customers who were part of the annexation.
