North Miss. Cities Set Sales Tax Revenue Records

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) — Some North Mississippi cities are setting records in sales tax revenue.

Columbus leaders say the Friendly City made more than $1 million in revenue starting early December. It’s the first time Columbus hit a million.

Tupelo also set a record. The city received more than $2 million in sales tax revenue.

This report for the All America City continues a seven month increase that started in 2015.
