North Miss. Football Player Arrested

LEE COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) — A star Calhoun City athlete is sitting in the Lee County jail Wednesday night.

The jail roster shows Brieton Sykes of Calhoun City was booked Wednesday on charges of possessing a stolen firearm.

Sykes is regarded as one of the best running backs in the state, and is slated to play football at East Mississippi Community College.
