North Miss. Prosecutor Charged with DUI

TUPELO, Miss. (WCBI) — A North Mississippi prosecutor has been charged with driving under the influence.

Tupelo police arrested Lee County prosecuting attorney James Moore earlier this month.

Court documents show Moore’s arrest comes after he had been drinking with friends at a downtown Tupelo restaurant Tuesday night, December 2.

Court papers say while he was leaving the business, Moore hit a parked car.

That’s when police got involved.

Moore was booked into the Lee County jail, and later released on a $1,900 bond.
