North Mississippi Couple Charged With Killing 2 Year Old Daughter

HOLLY SPRINGS, Miss. (AP) – Prosecutors have charged Marshall County parents in the death of their 2-month-old daughter.

WMC-TV in Memphis, Tennessee, reports (http://bit.ly/1CfRA76 ) 22-year-old Jeremiah Crenshaw and 20-year-old Monica Euell face charges of capital murder and felony child abuse.

The little girl was taken to Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital last week. She died over the weekend.

Investigators confirmed it is a homicide investigation. They believe the child died of blunt force trauma.

Both Crenshaw and Euell are in jail. Bond for each is set at $1.5 million. It was unknown if either defendant had an attorney who could comment on the charges.
