Two more late Mississsippi Bureau of Narcotic agents could have a portion of roads named in their honor.

Oktibbeha County supervisors Monday recommended the Legislature name part of Highway 25 west of Starkville between McGee Road and Saint Marks Drive in honor of Robert Henry McLeod. The 24-year-old agent was killed in a traffic accident outside of Starkville on Sept. 23, 1989.

He is one of four fallen officers the MBN hopes to honor statewide.

Calhoun County already has recommended one and Alcorn County is working on a third, Harold Caldwell. The 25-year-old died September 14, 1979 when he was shot by a kidnapping suspect in Corinth.

The Legislature is expected to approve the road names early next year.
