STARKVILLE, Miss. (WCBI) — Officials in Oktibbeha County continue to work on a nightclub ordinance.

Once the ordinance is finished, supervisors said at their Monday night meeting they will hold a public hearing about it.

The ordinance comes after five people were injured in a shooting at Club Rock last month.

Right now the nightclub is under a temporary restraining order.

Sheriff Steve Gladney says he wants it shut down for good, because he says it’s a public safety concern.

A nuisance hearing likely won’t happen until late May or June.
