One Airlifted After Four Motorcycles Collide in Tippah Co.

TIPPAH CO., Miss. – (PRESS RELEASE) The Mississippi Highway Patrol continues to investigate a motorcycle crash involving four Harley Davidson motorcycles on US 72, near Walnut, in Tippah County.

Troopers responded to the crash scene at approximately 1:00pm. Upon arriving it appeared Tony Freeman, 59, of Southhaven, was traveling east bound on a Harley Davidson motorcycle when he apparently lost control of his motorcycle, left the highway, then came back onto the highway and collided into the other three motorcycles riding with him.

Freeman was taken to Magnolia Hospital in Corinth with moderate injuries.

Robert Earnhart, 58, of Hernando, was airlifted to the MED in Memphis with life threatening injuries.

The other two drivers received minor injuries.

Troopers are trying to determine if alcohol/drugs contributed to the crash.
