One Dead in Pedestrian vs. Car Collision in Montgomery Co.

MONTGOMERY CO., Miss. – One man is dead, after being struck by a car in Montgomery County over the weekend. Trooper Tony Dunn says that 30-year old James Bramlet died, after being struck on Highway 82, east of the 4D Grocery in the Stewart Community.

It happened around 9 p.m Saturday (August 16).

Dunn says that Bramlet was walking down the left lane, when he was hit by a car driven by 43-year old Kimmy Mixon of Eupora. Troopers still aren’t sure why Bramlet was walking.

Autopsy results are pending, as the Mississippi Highway Patrol continues to investigate.
