One More Ride For A Fallen Brother

West Point, Miss. (WCBI) — Carlos “Tick” Rogers was laid to rest Saturday and over 100 family members from across the country came to honor him, but even though many had no relation.

“…If you knew him, everytime you saw him he had a smile no matter what was going on in his life…”, said Calvin Dailey, a friend of Walker.

“He’d help you any possible way he can…even if he didn’t know you, he’ll help you…”, said Thomas Lenoir.

Walker died last Saturday when he was struck from behind while driving his motorcycle.

And in honor of the man many knew and loved, more than 100 bikers from across the country made their way from Kentucky, Louisiana, and Tennessee to West Point to honor him.

Fellow bikers says that the mass gathering represents the type of bond that is built between bikers.

“He touched everybody that’s out here, he touched their life in some type of way…”, said Dailey, “…with that being said man you see it, its unity, camaraderie and that’s what we do as bikers, that’s what we do.”

“It’s all about camaraderie, making new friends, helping out with the community…so therefore when you have a man that loved to travel and meet new people, you see the results of it…”, explained Lenoir, “…when he goes down you, see everybody comes together across the nation to come and celebrate this man’s life”.

So whether it’s a man or woman, this fraternity is as close as any family and when one of them is in need, you can expect a large crowd to follow.

Along with a love for motorcycles, Walker was also a trucker and music producer.

He was 39 years old.
