Video: Oxford Man Dies in Plane Crash

CONWAY, Ark. (WCBI)- A pilot from Oxford has died after his small plane crashed shortly after take-off Wednesday (11-7). According to the Associated Press, 65 year-old Robert Allen had reportedly just taken off from the Conway Municipal Airport in Arkansas when the plane went down. Allen died overnight at a hospital in Little Rock. Witnesses say it sounded like the plane had engine trouble shortly after it took off from the airport. They then report seeing the plane turn back toward the airport before crashing. The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating the crash.
