Oxford Police Make Arrests in Fight, Other Cases

OXFORD, Miss. (WCBI) — Oxford Police have made several felony arrests in recent days.

Friday, officers arrested 23-year-old Devin Wilkinson of Abbeville for possession of a weapon by a convicted felon. The arrest came after officers found a pistol in his car after he was stopped for speeding.

On March 4, 24-year-old Jordan Taylor Posey of Tupelo was charged with stealing a car. The victim  reported the car stolen and told police Posey was seen taking it. Investigators found the car and charged Posey.

Thursday, 41-year-old Donny Wynn of Canton was charged with aggravated assault. Police say he is accused of hitting a male several times with a beer bottle during a fight Tuesday night at a bar on Oxford’s Square.
