Oxford Police Make Burglary Arrests

OXFORD, Miss. (WCBI) — Oxford police have made several recent burglary arrests.

The first is from last Thursday, after police say 28-year-old Sanchez Bogard of Abbeville, broke into a home and stole a laptop.

Bogard was charged with burglary of a dwelling.

His bond was set at $5,000.

Then on Monday, officers arrested 19-year-old Xavier Pittman of Pontotoc.

Investigators tell WCBI the burglary victim approached an officer at the Oxford Walmart, saying they saw someone going through their car.

Police say the officer then found Pittman with the victim’s cell phone, which was taken from the car.

Pittman was charged with one count of burglary.

His bond was set at $2,500.
