OXFORD, Miss. (WCBI) — WCBI continues to follow the investigation into the death of an Oxford man.

Nathaniel Arnez Huddleston is being held in the Lafayette County Detention Center, charged with murder.

He was transported from Jackson, where he was arrested Wednesday for the murder of Kenneth Roberson.

Roberson was shot to death inside his Oxford home. Officers found his body Saturday.

Oxford Police Chief Joey East is pleased with the investigation so far.

“It means a great deal for us, and our community,” East said. “Mr. Robinson was well thought of here. He’d been here most of his life. He was a funeral director, so he was well known in the community, active in church. Everybody really though a lot of him. So there was a lot of stress on us wanting to solve it, but also try to find out who harmed this man. So it’s a great deal for us, and this community that we got this solved.”

No information is being released about a possible motive.
